Well heck. The other day, I thought that I'd be smart and instead of laying out the holes on the clips and then having to back drill into the stiffeners upside down, I laid out the location on the stiffener and then drilled down into the clip. Worked great except for one tiny detail. Came out okay on the right side, but when I took the left side apart, I discovered that one of the holes is uncomfortably close to the tangent of the angle on the F-719 clip. When I say uncomfortable, I mean it doesn't conform to Mil-spec. Unfortunately, this means that the stiffener and angle are both scrap, so I ordered another from vans. for a whopping $4.00. Wish I had figured this out last week before I ordered new F-684 so I could have saved on shipping.
