My Matco wheels and brakes arrived today from AC Spruce. Yay! I took the angle grinder to the original fork to remove the brake mounting post and axle. I am just using the original fork to test fit the whole assembly and solve any fitment issues. Once I have determined the fitment, I'll design a new fork for the new wheels and brakes. Since I was back to the landing gear, I decided to have a good look at the RH gear and start figuring out what needs to be done with it. I disassembled and started cleaning it. Discovered what appears to be a crack in the upper end of the outer housing. This isn't surprising as there was a lot of force applied to the gear when it last "touched down". I'll check the entire assembly with dye penetrant.
