After I finished trimming the cowling around the radiator and the oil cooler, I doublechecked to be sure none of the exhaust components were interfering with the bottom cowl, then removed it and installed the "flat springs" around the slip joints on the #1 exhaust tubing. Simple Also I have to remember the red RTV on that spring.
