Title: More ribs & tasty spiders
Have just been cranking on wing ribs. I find it amusing that the plans say that building a wing rib can be 'accomplished in about 20 minutes.' I suppose if you had CNC cut parts that fit perfectly, etc. etc. that might be the case to assemble one side, but realistically when you are talking about gluing, stapling, then gluing second side & stapling, then removing about 100 staples per rib, I'm averaging about 2-2.5 hours per finished rib. The joys of plans building fo sho! The ladies came back and one brave soul decided that my hangar needed to be debugged... she wandered around clucking and chasing spiders (and other insects) around till she was satisfied I was bug free.
