Title: Cockpit side console
Today, I countersunk and dimpled all the side-console components that needed it, then scuffed, cleaned and primed them. I haven't yet fabricated the final stiffener angle on the lower left side; once I receive my latest parts order from Vans in a day or two, I get to it. Since the side console was out of the airplane, I removed both vertical channel caps from the fuselage and deburred them. I spent some time finalizing the mount design and location for the ELT. It will go between two side longerons, in the bay directly behind the aft baggage wall. I thought about mounting it in the bay behind this (for CG reasons, mostly), but it seems like it would be a lot of effort to squirm that far back into the fuselage when I need to replace the batteries each year.
