Title: Flap pushrod gap seals
Continued work on the flap rod boots: 1. Used a piece of see-through plastic to draw a template around the pushrod hole in the floorboard, then used this to cut a piece of 0.025" aluminum. This will be the retaining plate for the foam. The plate will be kept in place by one of the #8 floorboard screws and two other #6 screws/nuts. 2, Drilled the attach holes. 3. Cut out the pushrod hole and several other holes -- and I made sure it they had plenty of intentional ragged edges. (These rough edges will retain the foam under the plate.) 4. Cut the foam to shape. 5. Used a hot soldering iron to create the screw holes through the foam.
