Checked for shorts to ground for all GNX and GDU connections and found only pin 43-47????? with slight connectivety, but more inportantly, when i only start GDU under confic settings and NOT GNX, then I get NO red "X's". I'll run with that for now. Spent several hours using fire proof putty to help seal boot cowl to firewall. Also installed rest of my thin weather stripping used on windshield to help seal boot cowl to airframe aft of fire wall and to front windshield. Installed boot cowl and screwed in 30+ screws to secure it. Tightened up last of nuts I could find. Red "X's" went away on GDU config screen after my re-wiring. Sooooo, the plane is essentially FINISHED. Couple more trim items and half dozen cotter pins to install.......oh yeah, already have to do a repair and re-bleed brake lines due to leakage at couple of fittings. But plane can fly as it is now.
