Title: 45-10 Cabin Doors and Transparencies SIKAFLEX Step 1
https://youtu.be/A336SG-fsiI Link to the Original Video done by ZACH Chase (thank you a lot) Instead of SILPRUF (difficult to obtain in Europe) and Weld 10 recommended by VANS (doesn't ship to europe) i decided to follow recommendation from other builders using SIKAFLEX 295 with SIKAFLEX Primer 209D. Products are used in boats and should work fine. The only big difference is the use of the PRIMER (30 Min flash time) and the sanding with 240Grit as suggested by a boat expert. Technical sheets attached TOOLS: 80 grit sandpaper, disk sander, whiteboard marker with modification 3/16 wedge done with tongue deopressor, glued 80 grit strips (3/4"" wide as the flange), 3/32 and 1/8 (if necessary) clecoes with little wooden piece. 1. Remove glas protection 2inches. protect the rest with masking tape and paper 2. Trim glas to fit into window recess. 3. Mark parallel to window flange (PARALLEL NOT STRAIGHT) using the modiied whiteboard marker 4. Trim upto the mark BUT LEAVE THE MARK. Use sand block for last touches 5. Clean/deburr with tongue depressor or marker body Using the angle grinder works really fine. I used the oscillating tool only for the first cut, about 5mm from the original Mark from VANS, then sanded with the angle grinder and 80Grit
