Groomed ELT wiring and fabricated a 0.032” 2024-T3 doubler for ELT antenna that stiffens the skin. The doubler has joggled edges to fit over the bulkhead and former/longeron and be riveted in place to the existing structure. I will also use a 2” diameter 0.040 round disc under the antenna. Primed doubler with Super-K. The purpose of the doubler is to minimize skin buckling and relieve stresses on the bulkhead/longeron rivets. I may also add rivets for additional strength. Also, rough trimmed rudder cable fairings. Starting to complete small jobs in preparation for canopy work.
