Wet riveted ELT skin doubler in place. Primed area where ELT antenna mounts to exterior skin. Also, primed glareshield where it fits under boot cowl. Groomed ELT wires.
Trimmed steering cable exit fairings and fit to fuselage. The fairing flanges were sanded to about 3/64”. When attached using the #8 Screws, nutplates and 3/32” diameter pull rivets, the domed heads of the rivets protrude enough so that they support the fairing at about the same height as the flange. When the attachment screws are tightened, these support the fairing just enough to prevent warping. I may also use washers glued to inside of fairings to prevent warping the fairings.
