Title: Are tri-star azusa wheels inspired by the Spitfire ?
Are tri-star azusa wheels inspired by the Spitfire ? A family outing to the Paris' Musee de l'Air et Espace, and I'm of course looking at the airframes construction. This spitfire wheel looks so much like the tri-star Azusa wheel. No wonder this design is so popular.
