Title: Section 43 - Engine Installation 1
I am starting a new section, engine installation, although I have no engine... I have a few engine components that will be installed in the firewall and I can work on those. I can work on the pressure sensor systems, oil cooler, and respective hoses. I purchased the hose kits from Aircraft Specialty and it has a slightly different setup for the manifold pressure sensor which will provide also plumbing for connecting 2 P-Mags. During this process, I had to modify the fuel pressure sensor connection to accommodate the PPS. The fuel pressure hose was coming up parallel to the firewall and now it is approaching at an angle of 45 degrees, giving room for the PPS system. For hoses torquing, I had to use the "flats method" as I could not access the torque adapters. For the NPT connections, the oil pressure elbow went in tighter than I would have liked so that I could get proper clocking. Final note, I decided to anodize the pressure sender block instead of priming it to avoid any chance of flaking primer clogging my sensors. https://youtu.be/l_ThPEBa0FQ
