Title: Section 49 - Fuel and Oil System 1
I began section 49, Fuel and Oil System because I believe some of the hose attachments to the firewall will be much easier to do without the engine in the way. I started with torquing in place the fuel hose. The attachment is a size 8 AN fitting to an elbow pre-installed in the firewall. Next, I tackled the oil filter system. The oil filter itself had to be prepared for air sealing by installing two rubber seals on the side and attaching 2 AN fittings/elbows with specific clocking, which will favor the hose mounting afterward. The air reaches the cooler through a duct installed in the back of the right rear baffle and it attaches to the cooler using a special bracket that also needs to be sealed from the inside out with RTV. RTV is drying and the next step will be to attach the cooler to the firewall. I plan on installing the oil hoses already to facilitate the engine installation process. https://youtu.be/urEKSF8M-vk
