My first attempt at soldering leads to my flap switch failed. I didn't realize that the white disc was plastic - thought it was ceramic. I ended up melting the switch to the point that it was no longer functioning. Talked to my friend Al and he suggested using 22 gauge wire rather than 18 gauge wire - that did the trick - success.
