Feb 04, 2024     More stab work - (3 hours)       Category: Empennage
Updrilled all of the holes and did some final bolting of the parts. Also installed the elevator hinge pins.

Cleaned all of the parts and did initial fitting of the horizontal stab spars.

Jan 27, 2024     Elevator work - (3 hours)       Category: Empennage
Spent the evening cleaning the aluminum spars for the horizontal stabilizer. Leveled the spar in relation to the fuselage and drilled the attachment holes.

Jan 05, 2024     More fiberglass work - (6 hours) Category: Fuselage
More of the same as yesterday.

Jan 04, 2024     Fiberglass work - (8 hours)       Category: Fuselage
Spent the day cleaning up the fiberglass fuselage parts. Removed the over glass and got the seam to within a millimeter of fit. Also, shaped the canopy parts to a rough fit.

Jan 02, 2024     General fuselage work - (3.5 hours)       Category: Fuselage
Spent the afternoon warming up the barn so I could paint the end of the elevator control rod. While waiting for the primer and paint to dry I removed the fiberglass turtle shell and drilled the row of holes in the fuselage lip that will be used to attach the turtle shell.

I also had to remove and reinstall the bearing plates in the fuselage for the elevator control rod. Apparently the connection fork in the end of the rod that I painted doesn't fit through the bearing plates.

She is starting to look like a plane.

Jan 02, 2024     New wiring harness - (1 hour) Category: Engine
Spent an hour troubleshooting the new wiring harness. For some reason it wasn't getting gas. I finally tracked it down to a relay that I had to salvage from the other harness. The engine now runs with the new harness. Next step is to clean up all the wire to make it a neater install.

Dec 04, 2023     More wiring harness - (3 hours)       Category: Engine
Organized the wiring bundles and consolidated them in vanguard wire sleeve tubing. Reconnected the ground wire that was accidentally cut. Time to fedex it home to try on the engine before finalizing wire protection.

Nov 21, 2023     Wiring harness work - (3.5 hours)       Category: Engine
Removed all of the wiring for the following:
Radiator fan
Headlights
Taillights
Grip heaters
EXUP
Power steering
transmission

The main switch needs to have the ground wire reattached to the ground block
