Jul 18, 2020     Autopilot       Category: Avionics
Can''t say enough about my autopilot experience. With many long cross-country trips in my future, I''m fortunate to finally have a plane with autopilot. It''s operation is simple and control exceptional. There''s much less fatigue at the end of trips and gives me more time to relax and enjoy the scenery. My favorite part of the whole airplane.

Apr 18, 2020     Visibility       Category: Flights
I like to take pictures and this makes for a great camera plane. Anxious to do formation flights with other 750''s and get some shots.

Feb 15, 2020     Comfort       Category: Interior Finish
Roomy for larger people. I''m 6''5" and very comfortable flying this plane long distances. Controls are easy to reach, and with the center stick, dual throttles, pedals and brakes, it''s equally easy to fly from either seat. The synthetic-vision and moving maps are awesomely reassuring for situational awareness.

Oct 18, 2018     Initial Programming of Dynon Skyview       Category: Avionics
Wiring of all the modules, servos and senders took me many months. Not my thing, though I completed it eventually. Programming didn''t take too long and I enjoyed it more.

Oct 13, 2018     Set-Up of Elevator Cabling       Category: Controls
Red bungee for the port side, green for starboard.

Oct 06, 2018     Exhaust "System"       Category: Engine
Viking provided a mufflered exhaust system when I bought the engine. It was simply a Honda muffler, probably off the car the engine came from, but the tubing and mount were actually quite nice. However, the huge car muffler weighed a lot and created way to much heat inside the cowling. It wasn''t long before I replaced it with a smaller straight-through glass pack. Better, but still a lot of weight and heat. I noticed, when running the engine with no exhaust pipe at all, it really wasn''t noisy, and considerably quieter than all the Cessnas around with 50+-year-old burnt out mufflers. I eventually just welded on a straight pipe and wrapped it with heat tape. Sounds nice and it''s as light as it''s going to get.

Sep 30, 2018     Test Running Engine       Category: Engine
Since engine is liquid-cooled and I installed a generous radiator, no prop is necessary for ground runs. Enjoyed being able to safely work and tinker while running with no tendency to overheat.
