Performed taxi testing and high power engine run after changing g out alternator field switch. Alternator now works. Prop RPM was limited at 2700 and MP was noted to be approx 28”.

Engine first start. No leaks. RPM double. Made adjustment in Dynon. Alternator field not closing. Had IFR pitot static system check and had airspeed checked for accuracy.

Installed all panels on aircraft. Drained fuel tanks. Performed weight and balance with without wheel pants and fairings as aircraft will be initially test flown this way. The results are as noted.

Installed heat Shield on cowling. Drilled bottom screw holes and installed nut plates on support bracket. Will drain fuel for weight and balance. All items installed on aircraft. Installed crotch straps on harnesses.

Finished upper cowl interior scoops. Drilled and fit the lower cowl rubber seals.
 
Dec 27, 2022     Fuel Flow Test - (2 hours)       Category: Wings
Performed fuel flow test of boost pump for left and right tanks. Measured FF corresponded to pumps rated unrestricted flow of 40 gph and was well above FAA recommended flow for engine HP. No debris noted from fuel system. Fuel also run thru engine pump and injectors to remove preservative oil prior to first start.

Added fuel to tanks for calibration and leak testing. Added in 2 gal increments until full. Started on left tank. Left full for several days to check for leaks. Then drained fuel to add to right tank for calibration. Ran fuel pump with restriction. Amperage and PSI were within limits. Flow check of both tanks to follow.

Replaced damaged flap position sensor. Calibrated flaps at -3, zero, 20 and 40 degrees. Tightened stick to wing aileron push rods. Swapped and depopulated some pins to allow flap POS12 and ADS B to work after consulting with AFS
