Side panels dry fit onto rear fuselage to check fit. Floor assembled. Seat frame assembled. Rudder pedals attachments made and attached. Rudder pedals installed. Hardware for brake cylinders made and fitted. Side walls attached. L brackets cut and drilled to attach seat frame to walls. Forward skins fitted. forward fuselage mated to rear fuselage.

Dec 31, 2022 Firewall construction - (8 hours)

Category: Firewall

Dry assembled firewall front and back. Cut L angle and drilled per plans. Opened all holes to final size. Disassembled and de-burred all holes and edges. Powder coated aluminum parts on the front side white. Reassembled and riveted. AN-3 bolts, washers, and lock nuts installed on upper nose gear assembly. Green nylon bushing and hardware installed.

Oct 02, 2022 Empennage - (40 hours)

Category: Empennage

August 18 Fuselage, Empennage, Wings, and finishing kit arrived. Spent two days (8 hours total) confirming inventory and organizing parts. Followed pictorial guide, plans, and home built help videos. Dry fit pieces. Opened holes to final size per plans. Disassembled. Deburred and coated mating surfaces with Cortek for anti corrosion protection. Reassembled and riveted.

Dec 26, 2021 Flaperons - (7 hours)

Completed second set (inboard and outboard pilot side) flaperons. Same process as the first set. Jake and Eric were a lot of help.

Dec 22, 2021 Flaperons - (8 hours)

Category: Wings

Drilled and deburred where needed. Assembled passenger side inboard and outboard flaperons. Primed mating surfaces and riveted A4 and A5 rivets per the plans. Much quicker assembly than the tail section. These are updated parts and mostly all holes were already final sized. Long but fun day.
