Mar 12, 2025     Post Interior Painting (Part 2): Canopy, Tail Cone, and Fuselage - (3 hours)       Category: Fuselage
The crotch, lap, and cover belts were installed prior to seat installations inside the cabin. The bottom and top panel covers were seamed and installed to the appropriate fuselage locations. The canopy fairing was sanded down to the desired shape (geometry/contour). The tail cone pieces were sanded to make sure their edges were fitted, and the tail cone nut plates were placed to confirm alignment. The UHMW plates were installed into the back of the cabin using pop rivets to prepare for the fuel tank installation.
