Took the fuselage off the rear rotisserie and installed the rudder and tailwheel.

Spent the summer dealing with house issues and getting married, quite a pause. Dad and I started back in on things today by getting the fuselage mounted on a rotisserie. Need to move the rotation point down on the rudder post but we'll need a cv joint for that.

We assembled the rest of the trim tabs with pushrods and match drilled the torque tubes with the horn. Filled in the cut sections with epoxy. Did the static balancing for the elevators with the theoretical weight of Oratex6000 and disassembled everything.

Reamed out the elevator mounts and installed the bearings, bellcrank, and trim tube horn. Mounted the stabilizers correctly with a clamp to temporarily hold in position for the rest of the assembly. Cut loose the trim tabs and ground flush but the hardware kit has the incorrect clevis pin diameter so we need to reorder for 3/8".

Unpacked the rear stabilizers and elevators. Leveled the plane to bottom longer on datum reference as well as side to side. Installed front elevator support assembly and confirmed 2 deg offset. Assembled the left rear stabilizer and installed the first rivets on actual project for the trim torque tube bracket…then drilled out the first rivets and reinstalled in correct orientation. Torque tubes required sanding before operating smoothly.
