Installed one of the flight sticks into the Fuselage, then we worked on the tires, worked on the seat backs, and worked on the electrical system and cheeking for leaks in the fuel lines.

Today we worked on the fuselage and installing fans for the electronics up front. We also prepped parts for the tail cone

Today we continued working on the Fuselage and the oil system, as well as the seat backings and flight controls.

torque sealed the fuel system and added fuel lines, continuation of the brake and rudder pedals, working on the battery cage and the oil tank and brake fluid holder, formed the tops skin of the instrument panel.

Continued fuel line bending and installation. Dry-fit fuel tank in fuselage for match drilling before final assembly. Continued with prep for interior cockpit and canopy.

Misc updates from fuselage section. New learnings in the areas of fuel tank sealant and fuel lines. Progress continues on fuselage


 
Feb 19, 2024     Fuel Tank, Fuselage, and Lower Forward Fuselage Firewall - (2.5 hours)       Category: Fuselage
Today we worked on making sure that the fuel tank was leak seal before completely finishing it up. On the Fuselage side of things we continued riveting the outer skin on. With the lower forward fuselage we stressed the importance of ProSealing the firewall to prevent carbon monoxide leaks into the cabin.

Feb 12, 2024     Fuel Tank, FWD Lower Fuselage, Side Skins, Seat Backs - (2 hours)       Category: Fuselage
Fresh air vent brackets were prepped, as well as side skins. The side skins used Cherry Rivets... Primed the Longeron, attached nut plates to the firewall. The fuel cell was Pro-Sealed and riveted together. The seat backs were deburred and countersunk.
