Completed aft baggage compartment and door. Drilled and installed rudder stops, ground down rivets, Installed missing washers and bushings on rudder pedals and empenage cables. Installed push pull cotter pins.

Installed rudder and rigged cables from pedals to rudder.

Issues found: Missing spacers, nuts, and washers on rudder pedal connections and rudder connections. Rudder stop not drilled.

  Feb 11, 2024     Stabilizers & Elevators - (4 hours)       Category: Empennage

Inspected horizontal stabilizers, elevators, and push/pull tube. Mounted horizontal stabilizers and elevators. Connected push/pull tube to elevators.

Issues Found: Missing several 3/16" washers, wrong bolt in bottom aft cable tab on left side.

  Feb 10, 2024     Control sticks, Aileron rigging, Veritical stabilizer - (6 hours)       Category: Fuselage

Checked install of control sticks, aileron rigging, vertical stabilizer. Installed antenna mounting plate.

Issues Found: Push pull tube cotter pins not done, aileron rigging pulley mounting nuts loose, rivet stems protruding on vertical stabilizer, S5 stringer brace missing a center rivet.

Finished inspection of tailcone, washed baggage area and reinstalled in airframe.

Issues found: Missing fuel line hose on cross cables at station 4 & 5. Need new piano hinges for baggage area access door.

  Feb 05, 2024     Rudder, Firewall, Tailcone - (3 hours)       Category: Fuselage

Finish inspecting build and parts or rudder pedals, firewall including formers, started inspection of tailcone structure.

Issues Found: Steel rivets sheared off on rudder pedal swivel brackets, and missing rivets in formers.

  Feb 04, 2024     Dissassebly Interior - (4 hours)       Category: Fuselage

Removed interior panels, firewall, baggage areas. Wiped down cleaned remaining tubing on cage. Started inspecting prior build work with manuals. Inspected nose gear, nose gear disconnect, nose gear dampener, nose wheel steering linkages, and floorboard.

Issues found: Nose wheel steering linkages installed upside down.

Removed firewall and finished cleaning and wiping off 20 years of dust from fuselage. Wiped every surface, used baby wipes.
