I thought I was getting off easy with the drilling of these legs but I was wrong! The gear strut is hollow at the top where I drilled yesterday. The gear strut is solid hardend steel (1.25” diameter) and this was much more difficult drilling. This is where a second person would be helpful just to keep cutting fluid on the drill bit. I didn't want to remove the leg from the socket so I drilled the LH brake mounting brackets by hand. This was difficult drilling but not impossible.
