Oct 31, 2022 2.5 rt wing leading edge cleco'd and starting to align for top nose rib drilling Category: Wings
Finished deburring all of the lower drilled leading edge holes (both inside and outside skin).
Charlene helped me by holding the leading edge in place while I clecoed the lower side across the spar and lower nose ribs.
I have temporary flat rivets (just normal A4 and A5 rivets but squeezed with a flat nose riveter) in place on the upper spar so i can now lay the skin down over them to pull the leading edge skin tight for alignment, then I'll be able to start drilling the upper nose rib holes and eventually the spar afterwards. I inserted the rear spar blocks (wood blocks) inline with the straps so it wouldnt' crush the rear spar flanges together with the straps and put cardboard between the strap front leading edge and under the strap metal parts and cranked them down a little (will crank them tighter the next time before drilling).
