Nov 28, 2020 1 Quick work, added Center hinge bearing and brackets Category: Empennage
Quick work today, spent most of the day on and off the roof of the house putting up those damn Christmas lights, the lights won....

Always important to make progress any time you can. My goal is 10 hours a week which should result in a build time of about 5 years, about average. In order to get those 10 hours a week in, gotta make progress any time you can, even if it's only 30 minutes.

So after the Christmas lights grand reveal (think Chevy Chase) I located the VS-411 brackets, there's two, a left and right. One has 6 holes already drilled in it, the other does not. Careful about putting them on the correct sides of the spar halves. The little VA-146 bearing rests comfortably inside the two halves of the brackets.

So just cleco'd the two brackets in place with the bearing in between and called it a night. Studies ahead on the plans a bit to get an idea of how to proceed.
