I thought I read somewhere to put in oil and hand spin engine 40-70 times until oil pressure registers. Oil has been in oil sump for weeks. I initially tried turning engine without prop using starter (Per STOL Creek mike) but I didn't get any indication that I had oil in engine oil lines. After prop installed couple weeks ago, I tried hand spinning 70+ times. Initially kind of stiff but then loosened a lot but still no oil in oil return line. I spun it some more....still no oil in lines. Today, spent couple of hours removing oil cooler and found it about 1/2 full of oil....so..some oil is getting through but still no indication of oil in oil return line where it connects to top of external oil sump. I disconnected the oil return line at top and dropped to level of bottom of engine and OIL RAN OUT. At least there is oil in bottom of engine.
