Multiple hours to address fuel leaks from 5 connections. Major drips/leaks on fuel return line under console, large engine fuel filter, and firewall pass-thru connection on fuel return line. I pumped out fuel from header tank and shutting all valves. I added copper gaskets to fittings on fuel filter and had to completely replace a section of hard fuel line under console. Only way to get to it easily was to remove console....a pain. Put all back together a't nd opened fuel line to fill header tank. Fuel wouldn't flow when reading 2 gallons remaining. I closed valve and added another gallon of gas and then opened tank valve which allowed header tank to fill. Unbeknownst to me, fuel was pouring out from console lines. By time I noticed, a cup or much more was on floor of cockpit.....this was WITHOUT fuel pump pressure. I shut everything down and went to my meeting.
