I learned to fly in a Citabria, which has the trim control on the left side, below the throttle. Mr. Barrows designed the Patrol with the trim control above and behind the pilot's head. Just didn't work for me, so I moved it. As a result, I have cables running along the left side of the cockpit, front and rear, all the way back through the baggage compartment. Seemed like a control jam situation waiting to happen. So, I've spent the last few weeks fabricating aluminum panels to protect the cables, and prevent a future inconvenience.
