Oct 24, 2021 2 32-2 Tailcone Attachment Step 1-8 Category: Fuselage
Preparation of the tailcone attachment clecoing the top rear tailcone skin to the tailcone bulkheads and stiffeners.
Final drilled the #30 holes in the bottom bulkhead F-1006B. Final drilled all the #40 holes in the F-1006B bulkhead. Disassembled the F-1006B Bulkhead and deburred all the holes. Dimpled the nutplates rivet holes with #40 dimple die.
Unfortunately i dimpled the nutplates #40 holes on the wrong side. I decided to dimple again on the right side. Detailed inspection of the dimples doesn't show cracks or irregularities. Only the primer has been removed occasionally.
I also dimpled the bellcrank ribs and the three #40 holes on F-1006A and F-1006C
Decided to replace the F-1006B with a new one. Surprisingly the new F-1006B is the new version with all the holes final drilled to #30 and #40. Priming is still necessary.
