Project: I-CAVS     -     Entry

Nov 27, 2021 9 32-5 Tailcone Attachment Step 7-17 Category: Fuselage
Riveting of all the parts. Unfortunately we didn't realize the need to rivet the F1006B bulkhead before assembling the cone. Therefore setting the bottom rivet has been a challenge. In addition to that the three foremost rivets on the side skins corresponding to the angle stiffener of the baggage floor have been difficult to set. The other riveting steps have been done without major problems. Only few oops rivets have been set due to few enlarged holes in the F1006B Flanges.
Machine countersinking of the different skins/longerons, and multiple skins has been done. CSK of the skims and underlying skins has been done as well.
Little challenge on dimpling few of the skin/flanges holes, but Lucio resolved with the old style hammer and dimpler tool. This was required before riveting the baggage ribs to the F1006B Bulkhead as the dimple where impossible to do using the squeezer
