Today I attached the rudder to the vertical stabilizer and attached the elevators to the horizontal stabilizers. Besides the hinges, there is a velcro gap seal that attaches the control surfaces. I also connected the teleflex control cables to the elevators and made rough adjustments to get them in-line with each other. I also assembled the turnbuckles for the rudder control cables in preparation for setting that up next. Aerolite has fixtures available that builders can borrow to hold the control column and rudder pedals in a neutral position while making final adjustments to the control cables. I'll probably make my own fixtures rather than borrowing theirs and having to deal with shipping.
