23     Jun 15, 2021 Spar and ribs rivet Wings 2 $0.00    3
Clecod ribs to spars. Ccpq42 used for tie down bracket. Riveted. 1rib left alone

22     Jun 12, 2021 R wing Wings 12 $0.00    8
Intermittently, I worked over the last three days. I am busy with the right wing. Previous occasion, both the front and rear spot we are prepared, the wing trust was bolted and torqued. The ribs were also Prepared, straightened, Deburred, and primed. All the metal to metal surfaces were primed. I am in the process of attaching the aileron and slab hinge arms, aileron bell crank, Teleflex etc. to the proper ribs. On rib number six, the angle brackets attaching the rib to the rear spar was over drilled, and received a bigger rivet.

21     May 30, 2021 Pitot Wings 7 $0.00    7
I proceeded to install my Dynon-heated pitot. I used the Vans bracket, and inserted an angle bracket on two sides, one riveted to the rib, and the other just to stiffen up at the skin

20     May 23, 2021 Gap seals Wings 6 $0.00    5
I proceeded with my riveting until about five rows from the rear spar I then fit the gap seal. I realized it would be easier to trim all the tabs off, as well as trim the holes. Due to the fragility of the gap seals ones all the supports are removed, I opted not to remove the support in the holes of the control arms, but to leave metal in place making a square hole. See pics. I then scuffed acetone and primed the surfaces. I use the straight edged, lined up the parallel surfaces, and custom drilled the gap seals. I completed all the rivets, noticed that stainless steel rivets to be used, and that a longer rivet must be used in the rear spa with a double or is in place. I do not believe these rivets are included, oh but are used CCPQ 44. I measured this with a cherry rivet gauge

My kit also short approximately 100 AAPQ 43 rivets

19     May 22, 2021 Top skin Wings 10 $0.00    2
I used my dimple dies, and proceeded to dimple all the top skin. 120ntersunk was used for the forward spar holes. I click out the four thanks supports in place. Remember they are directional and only line up in one orientation. The tank supports was duburred on all four edges, as well as the holes. I gave it a coat of self etching primer on the contact side. I riveted the leading edge rivets,. Then I worked my way back one row at a time. I then proceeded to draw with a number 40 followed by a number 30 drill bit on the rear spar-Match drilling. I then proceeded to De Beer the top skin on both sides, as well as the rear spar both sides.

18     May 16, 2021 Wing wiring Wings 12 $0.00    14
I spend quite a few hours here and there since March , doing quite a bit of research in terms of wiring, calculating wire length etc. I believe that from the front of the left wing tip to the firewall with a little bit of spare length will be somewhere between 32 and 34 feet, and 22 feet from the Pitot to the firewall. I am using white wire for the Pitot heat, 12 gauge, marked with heat shrink tape. The wire to the wingtip is three conductor shielded wire, as is the same with the wing mounted landing light. Are used black pipe as a conduit, using an adell clamp on rib 9. The fitting was quite tight, and the conduit isn't moving, I had to enlarge the hole in rib from the recommend size. I also installed the dynon lines to the angle of attack indicator, as well as the airspeed pitot. On rib number three, I used the grommets supplied by the dynon, and on rib four and five are used the three-quarter inch pex clamp [shark bite]. Rib 3 bracket was screwed using a stainless steel screw with the locknut, and on rib number five are used aircraft solid rivets to secure the bracket. I then squared the wing, as well as remove any twist (which wasn't present). My table is level and I no adjustment was needed. I clecoed the skin in all the front ribs, and I started match drilling the leading edge. I started in the middle, and work my way to the sides. Before I forget, I also deburred the top and bottom skins, as well as the stringers. It is important to line up the stringers to the wing skin holes on the outside, and then cut the stringers to length Outboard first, and then the Inboard

17     Mar 05, 2021 Flap and aileron bell crank Wings 2.5 $0.00    6
I completed the bell crank installation for both the aileron and flaps L wing. Safety wired securing cable around aileron bell crank, aileron bell crank safety wired and bolts torqued. Tele flex cable to flap bell crank installed and safety wired. Dean turns on the female tie rod, torqued to 15 inch pounds. Torque seal applied

16     Jan 24, 2021 Flaps Tail Feathers 4.5 $0.00    2
Rolled flap edges. Flap -debur all, forward spar a bugger to debur. River ribs and hinges. Bushings reamed. Mating surfaces one side primed

15     Jan 23, 2021 Starting wing, flap Tail Feathers 5.5 $0.00    2
I prepared the wing spot assembly, cleaned and deburred both spars, including the back and holes of the leading edge. This was a bit tedious. I noticed on Facebook, that the flaps and ailerons need to be finished prior to the wings. I then proceeded to gather together the flap assembly, and I proceeded to bend the leading edge with 1 7/8 abs pipe, as well as taking all the ribs and bend them into exactly 90all the holes and edges got the “treatment”

14     Jan 22, 2021 Rudder Tail Feathers 7 $0.00    6
Replaced the side skins, wasn't happy with the cosmetic outcome of the formed edges. $300 upgrade. I inserted the pull handle, riveted the one side of rudder, confirmed that there is no twist.

13     Jan 17, 2021 Elevator Tail Feathers 7 $0.00    8
Elevator build. I installed the hinges, but not entirely happy with the center hinge. This will be replaced in future,As it is somewhat proud of the top surface. Safety wire used to holes-90end in the hinge pin to secure. The one side was rivetted, the other side was left open for inspection. The tip skins were not riveted, but placed with clevos
I return to the rudder, replace the skins,Deburred, clecod in place, leading edge aft skin was formed, Also placed the elevator, horizontal stabilizer and trim tab on the wall

12     Jan 05, 2021 Elevator Tail Feathers 7 $0.00    6
I spend most of the time on the elevator, I believe the trailing edge was supposed to have pre-drilled holes. I proceeded to spend quite a bit of time in match drilling, due to limited space, I proceeded to drill at an angle from the one side, and then drill through the same hole to the opposite side. Everything was removed, deburred. I also bend 1.1/4 the leading edge of the elevator, everything was deburred, sanded. I also reviewed my one center rivet on my trim tab. This rivet will be replaced with an oversize rivet- see picture

11     Jan 03, 2021 Elevator , trim Tail Feathers 6.5 $0.00    7
I deburred, painted contacting surfaces of the elevator with SEM. Trailing edge clecod in position. I followed the instructions, and proceeded with the trim tab. This was also deburred on all the necessary contacting surfaces, contacting surfaces primed, one side left open for inspection. No twist is present

10     Jan 02, 2021 Elevator Tail Feathers 10 $0.00    6
I proceeded with identifying, deburring, sanding, priming of the elevator parts. Final completion of riveting

9     Jan 01, 2021 Finishing horizontal stabilizer to the point of inspection Tail Feathers 6 $0.00    1
I completed the horizontal stabilizer, ground off all the rivets by placing find this type of a top, not to clean the rivets to excessiveness. The aft end on the bottom was left open for inspection, the ribs can be inspected on the leading edge from the lateral aspect

8     Dec 31, 2020 Hor stab Tail Feathers 8 $0.00    6
I proceeded building the horizontal stabilizer, took the skins off again to debur and drill holes that was missed the first time. I double checked all the edges, as well as all the screw holes, and confirm that all was deburred. I riveted one side, making sure to put all the rivets in correct places, no mistakes was made. The AAAPQ 41 rivet mandrel is sticking out on all the rivets. This is the correct rivet confirmed

7     Dec 29, 2020 Horizontal stabilizer Tail Feathers 8.5 $0.00    4
Proceed with riveting horizontal stabilizer, deburring skins, deburring all the holes. Damage to the right skin, I contacted the manufacture. Awaiting their reply. I sorted all the parts to fabricate the skin to horizontal stabilizer. I replaced the AAA PQ 42 rivets with 41s at the end ribs, the recommendation was too long, confirmed with the gauge
