Dec 28, 2017     Trim Tabs Tips       Category: Trim Tabs
Just getting some of the things that needed finishing done. Tip ends. This completes Chapter 4.

Dec 21, 2017     Trim Tabs Drive Pins Glassed       Category: Trim Tabs
Completed glassing the trim tabs drive pins.

They say you must have a picture of yourself doing something so that the FAA believes you built this thing :) I cut the pre wetted glass in poly sheets for glassing the tabs. Worked very well. You can see the patterns on the table.

Both trim tabs done

Dec 17, 2017     Trim Tab Drive Pins       Category: Trim Tabs
Bonded the Starboard drive pin plate. Got things aligned and Port drive pin is ready for bonding.

Nov 26, 2017     Tab Hinges Installed       Category: Trim Tabs
This week completed installation of the trim tab hinges. Still need to do some trimming for free movement, installation of the drive pins to finish chapter 4. I still need to glass the tab tips, which I decided to do after hinge installation to be able to sand and get an even gap.

Nov 22, 2017     Trim Tabs LE and Root Glassed       Category: Trim Tabs
Finished glassing and trimming the Trim Tabs LE and Root. Next the hinges.

Nov 18, 2017     Started Trim Tabs       Category: Trim Tabs
Go started with the trim tabs. Got one ready for glass today.

I think I already explained this but I added a foam wedge instead of following the plans and using flox to set the tab drive pins at the correct angle. This should be cleaner than a big blob of flox that is hard to control.
The Port tab ready for glass (tomorrow)
They say you need to have a picture of yourself building the airplane for the FAA to believe you did :)
