Separated the R-00917 Shim and R-00918 Attach Strips by removing the hatched areas. Removed the hatched areas from R-00910 Horn Brace. Separated the R-00904-1 Bottom Rib to create R-00904A-1 and R-00904B-1 parts. Removed the sharp edge on the top flange of the R-405PD Rudder Horn to allow it to nest inside the bend radius of the forward flange of the R-00904A-1 Bottom Rib. Radiused the 4 corners of the rudder horn. All parts were already predrilled to final size. Deburred all parts.

Separated the R-00915A-1, R-00915B-1, R-00915C-1, R-00915D-1, R-00915E-1, R-00915F-1 and R-00915G-1 stiffeners (A-1 shown). Separated the R-00914 Stiffener Shear Clip into individual shear clips by removing the hatched areas. Separated the R-00917 Shim and R-00918 Attach Strips by removing the hatched areas.

Adjusted the flange angles of the VS-706 Tip Rib to match the taper of the spars and skin. Radiused the corners at the forward end of the VS-705 Nose Rib and VS-706 Tip Rib flanges. Fluted the VS-704, VS-705, VS-706 and VS-707 Ribs as required to straighten the web of the ribs. Clecoed the VS-704, VS-705, VS-706 and VS-707 Ribs to the VS-702 Front Spar and VS-803PP Rear Spar. Final-Drilled #30 all rib to spar attach holes. Clecoed the VS-801PP Skin to the vertical stabilizer assembly. All holes in the skin were already pre-drilled to #40. Reamed all rib and spar holes to #40 separate from skin. Match-Drill #40 the forward holes in the VS-801PP Skin to the VS-705 Nose Rib and the VS-706 Tip Rib.

Clecoed the VS-01401 Front Spar Doubler to the VS-702 Front Spar. Used the VS-01401 Front Spar Doubler as a guide to Match-Drill #40 the 3/32 [2.38mm] holes in the VS-702 Front Spar. Match-Drilled 1/4 the 1/8 [3.175mm] hole in the front spar doubler to the front spar as shown in Figure 1. Step 3: Use a marker to trace a line along the bottom edge of the VS-01401 Front Spar Doubler onto the VS-702 Front Spar. Removed the VS-01401 Front Spar Doubler and trimmed the bottom of the VS-702 Front Spar to the line. Radiused the corners of the flanges as shown and removed the hatched area from the VS-01401 Front Spar Doubler.
