Oct 24, 2023     Final Fuel Flow Test - (3 hours) Category: Inspection
Fuel flow tested again, per FAA guidlines, at climb attitude and at level flight attitude.
At Climb attitude 18 degrees nose up as outlined in the bearhawk build manual
2.5 gallons of fuel was placed in each tank and the fuel was collected at the fuel line/carb attach fitting.
Fuel was collected for one minute and weighed

Engine fuel demand at full power climb 26.6 gph (290hp x 0.55) / 6
Ideal gravity fuel flow test result 39.9 gph (26.6 x 1.5)

Test results:
Climb fuel flow 49 gph
Level flight fuel flow 68 gph
