Dec 30, 2023 Oil pressure - (1 hour)

Category: Engine

Added Phillips 20-50 to the sump and filled the oil pressure sensor line with oil. I hand propped the motor until I built oil pressure.

Used scat tube and an exhaust collector to feed the carb heat box.

Added silicone baffle seal around plenum intake's.

Trimmed and installed nut plates to attach air box to cowling. Trimmed and glued plenum scoops in place using plexus adhesive.

Doubled oil cooler mounting flange with .40 aluminum and installed 10-32 nut plates. Mounted oil cooler to cowling and made oil lines from stratoflex 111-6. Routed and used adel clamps to support lines.

Laid carbon on the mold I made for my air box. Hot glued mold in place inside cowling and laid in place for tight fit. Need to trim and sand yet

Made a mold to lay up a fiberglass/carbon fiber air box. Trimmed plenum openings for air scoops.

Installed oil line fittings on accessory case. Hung motor, mocked up cowling, and trimmed.

Had to get new prop lugs form saber so I would have proper engagement with my whirlwind propeller. Pressed out the old and pressed in the new.

Installed the engine mount and set bushings to proper specifications. Installed on aircraft.

Uncreated 0SMOH 0-360 after shipping to inspect. Installed some accessories oil filter, oil drain plug, breather tube, etc. Installed to lycoming torque spec and safety wired.
