Prepared to continue to paint the wheel wells, inside gear doors, and inside wing bolt covers, as well as other its in the nose.
 
Sep 04, 2020     Primed Bottom of Plane - (6 hours)       Category: Wings
Primed the bottom of the wings and fuselage, as well as many accessories. Began prep to paint the inside of the wheel wells and other accessories, including the wing bolt covers.

Cleaned and glassed the inside of the winglets where the rudder cables will meet the rudders. Also continued to fill holes with micro and did more sanding.

Continued sanding and filling holes and uneven spots, especially around the wings where the bottom cowling meets the wing.

Strengthened the edges of the cowling with an additional layer of BID over the micro. Sanded and filled the mains with micro. Spend time doing a 3 BID layup around the windshield to support the upholstery. I should have done 5 or 6 sheets of BID instead of 3. May add more layers next week.

Sanded one gear leg. Applied micro to the edges of the lower strake (shelf) windows. Sanded the bottom of wing and strakes again while fitting the wing bolt covers.

Applied micro to one of the gear legs in prep of painting. Sanded bottom of wings and applied another skim of micro. Fabricated flanges for the three remaining covers for the wing bolts.

Sanded wings and applied coat of micro to the joints between the strakes and wings, as well as filled areas near the winglets.
 
Jul 31, 2020     Wing Bolt Covers - (4 hours) Category: Wings
Glassed over the two attachment points for the wing bolt covers. Sanded the one wing bolt cover that has the flange.
 
 
Jul 29, 2020     Sanding - (4 hours)       Category: Wings
Reattached both wings and noticed how well the strakes met the wings on the bottom. Will require very little micro fill. Sanded bottom of fuselage. Began to create a flange for one of the covers to see if they would work.

Correctly installed the metal bracket to the canard bulkhead; continued sanding and filling wing tips with micro slurry; began assembling the rudder pedals.
