Jan 21, 2015     Panel placards - (2.8 hours)       Category: Lighting
Although my main instrument panel will be cut by a professional, using a set of DXF files that he is drawing, I have begun drawing some of the miscellaneous switch panel overlays that I'll be producing myself. The first one I decided to tackle was the cockpit dimmer panel. I used FrontPanel Express to draw and print a full-size sample so I could verify spacing, readability, and other issues. I'm pretty happy with my first attempt.

May 24, 2009     Rewiring nav lights - (1.9 hours)       Category: Lighting
Removed LED power pucks from tip rib and replaced with 8-ohm, 20W wirewound resistors clamped in place with Adel clamps. (Several forum discussions have pointed out that the PowerPuck transformers can cause a lot of noise in comm radios.)

[Superseded.]
