Jan 21, 2008     Test Posting Category: Misc.
This is a test of my kit logging software. This is only a test.

Had this been an actual posting, you'd have been instructed where to tune in your local area for photos and more information.

This concludes this test of my kit logging software.

Sep 15, 2006     Parts inventory - (4.1 hours)       Category: Misc.
Began taking inventory and storing parts. Assembled storage locker for electrical and interior items.

Finished inventorying all parts except bagged hardware, with help from Jim Preiss. Set aside brake reservoir and fuel selector for return to Van's, since I'll be using master cylinders with integral reservoirs and Andair fuel selector. Removed two access covers from bottom of left wing to examine fuel tank mounting bolts in accordance with Van's Service Bulletin. Began putting bagged hardware, mostly rivets, into storage drawers and labeling the bins.

Sep 14, 2006     Parts inventory Category: Misc.
(1.25 hours) Began unpacking parts and organizing plans.

Sep 14, 2006     FUSELAGE & WING DELIVERY - (0.9 hour)       Category: Misc.
ook delivery of Quickbuild Fuelage and Wings (#1868). Helpers included Eric Wilkins, Tom Hickson, and Jim Hanson Sr. The wing cradles worked perfectly! We rested the fuselage on furniture dollies for now.

I was very impressed with Tony Partain's delivery service. His driver was prompt (almost too prompt, as he arrived ten minutes early, and two of my helpers hadn't even arrived yet) and friendly. I think he sensed how special this moment was for me. Of course, he probably sees that kind of joy at least half a dozen times a week.

Feb 20, 2001     Tail kit delivery - (0.1 hour)       Category: Misc.
Took delivery of empennage kit and stored both boxes in garage. (I eventually moved the boxes to my hangar in January 2002.)
