Spent an hour or so trying to find a couple of bolts for the engine mount. Then worked on up-drilling all the holes for mounting various parts.

Finally decided to go with the mock-up placement I had been working on. Worst case scenario.....i have to drill more, different holes in the future. I used a center punch to make a distinct dimple in SS metal then went with 1/8" drill for pilot hole. Then sized needed screws/bolts for all parts to be put on firewall and decided to go local and try to find what I needed in stainless steel. It took about an hour to find all I needed at Lowes 4-5 prepackaged #8, #10, 1/4" then several individual parts in the 5/16" size. Didn't think I got that much but total came to $30.

Worked today to drill out powder coat from of engine mount bushings then thread chase the screw holes on bottom engine mount and the two ends of nose gear piston. Tried to install engine mount onto firewall....didn't fit. Took off firewall and tried fitting engine mount by itself. Bottom three bushings aligned near perfect but the top two needed to be pulled a little. Bolt would NOT go through top bushings and fuselage. Mounted 3 good bolts and tried reaming again. Still problem with getting bolt through when I determined that store bought, temporary bolt was bent. I can get one of top two bolts in at a time but not both. Had to walk away from project for awhile.

Finally received firewall forward for Rotax 914 (actually ordering EP915Ti....fuel injected, turbo charged stock Rotax from Edge Performance). Box filled entire pallet. Only one exhaust part missing. Got 5 pieces of fiberglass for cowling...top, bottom, boot cowl, NACA duct. Spent some time unpacking and able to store all items at home. Scott's room is full of airplane parts. Did inventory, cut up and disposed of lots of cardboard and lots and lots of brown paper "stuffing"
Had ordered this kit back in January 2021 when if found on YouTube VLOG that there was a substantial back log. Also backlog on GArmin G3x and Airmaster prop.....both not due to ship until Jan 2022

Got notice and billing for firewall forward. Crate shipped two days ago. Supposed to arrive Sept 1.
