Had borrowed some car scales with ramps from EAA 555 up in Las Cruces that all are using to weigh planes. Easy enough! Hardest was figuring out where/how to use the scales. We ended up using 3 layers of 2x4" wood cut-offs to block up nose until bottom fuselage frame was level. We rolled the main gear onto scales then lifted nose, placed blocks then scale under nose wheel with plane level front/back and side to side. Unit said 921# total, 246# on nose, and 338# for each main gear wheel. Seems kind of heavy for the model. Extra paint layers, extras on plane, extra radios, autopilot servos, zillion miles of wiring, etc. Too busy and didn't get photos of the process.
