Came up with idea to connect similar sized pitot tubing from metal to polypropelene

Sep 25, 2023     Propeller hub install - (6.0 hours)       Category: Propeller
Worked on learning how to install Airmaster propeller. Spent couple of hours reading then worked on bolting on propeller hub. Supposed to lube propeller blade bearings but could figure out how to expose the bearings. My propeller blade model is different than one covered in basic instructions. Sent note at end of the day to Airmaster in NZ.

Sep 17, 2022     Propeller comparison - (1.0 hour)       Category: Propeller
Photo of comparison of one blade of my prop setup with blades on CAP C-182

Sep 06, 2022     Figuring out prop installation - (4.0 hours)       Category: Propeller
Spent several hours trying to figure out how prop installs. Some Rotax flange prop bolt flanges need to be installed but checked with Airmaster about how deep they were supposed to seat. Determined I have to install prop bolts and flange inserts at same time or after install of prop flange inserts alone, I would be unable to insert bolts due to length and interference of gear box output. Installed the 2 inch prop extension, spinner back plate to be able to fit the cowl.
Red arrow on prop extension photo shows the prop flange lug. When properly and completely installed, the wide flange to the left will be flush to back of prop flange. However, the prop bolts must be inserted along with the "LOOSE" prop flange lugs as I believe once the lugs are completely seated, I will NOT be able to insert the long prop bolts due to the extension of the gear box output housing. Not a problem, but the fit is very precise and even with trial fitting of the spinner back plate to fit the cowlings, the lugs had to be tapped out to remove the temp bolts I have been using. Final install of prop lugs will require hard set Loctite glue which will make removal a little tricky.

Sep 04, 2022     Learning about prop - (6.0 hours) Category: Propeller
Spent most of the day going through boxes and reading two manuals concerning prop usage and installation. Took awhile to understand how all went together. I'm excited. Not much work done but learning about prop.
