May 29, 2020     Baggage compartment & Elevator push rod tunnel. - (8 hours)       Category: Fuselage
Today I worked on finishing the elevator push rod tunnel installation and also fabricated the optional baggage compartment panels. Then I installed the previously fitted top skin formers aft of the seat. I also filled both fuel tanks to be sure that there are no leaks before installing them to the wings.

Fit left side cheek former's and skin. Finished fitting both cheeks, de burred and dimpled cheeks and former's. Began fitting joggle strips for cowling.

Removed Elevators and riveted inner ribs and drive horns onto inner ribs. Reinstalled elevators and re leveled. Drilled hole in drive horn for heim bearing installation per build manual.
 
 
 
Installed rudders and brake pedals. Installed upper and lower nylon blocks for spar sliders.

Did final fit of bottom skin and prepped for final riveting. Started assembling rudder and brake pedals.
 
 
 
 
Jul 25, 2019     Fit and up drilled all horizontal brackets - (5 hours)       Category: Fuselage
Fit and up drilled all horizontal brackets and mounted horizontal with bolts. Began fitting vertical stabilizer.

Jul 10, 2019     Fit horizontal tail and brackets - (5 hours)       Category: Fuselage
Fit horizontal tail and brackets. Leveled and squared horizontal to fuselage. Trimed horizontal to fit tail cone. Appled service bulliten to correct angle of incidence to 0 degrees.
