Oct 04, 2023     Fuel Tank October 04, 2023 - (5.8 hours)       Category: Fuel System
The float on the fuel sensor does not extend to the bottom of the tank. There is approximately 3/4-inch space between the lowest point on the float and the tank bottom. I attempt to extend the length of the float by attaching an additional float be it didn't work correctly, so I removed the addition. Therefore, when my fuel gage reads empty, I will still have usable fuel remaining in the tank. It's not a bad thing. I will eventually do a test fill and drain of the tank to find out the exact amount of fuel remaining when the gauge reads empty.
