Oct 09, 2023     Parts Purchase, October 09, 2023 - (.2 hour) Category: Fuselage
Ordered nuts, bolts and steel tube for the fabrication of wheel axle sockets.

Oct 07, 2023     Fuselage October 07, 2023 - (3.2 hours)       Category: Fuselage
Fabricated and installed the brackets were the HS attaches to the fuselage. Had to open a rear inspection whole to complete the installation. Since I was cutting open the rear one, I opened the two forward inspection wholes also. I need them to attach the wings to the fuse.

Oct 06, 2023     Fuselage October 06, 2023 - (2.8 hours)       Category: Fuselage
Removed the firewall to get access to the brakes. This confirmed the need for another master cylinder. The type I am using have an internal reservoir eliminating the need for me to attach a reservoir forward of the firewall. I also found out that I require a socket to be welded to attach the axles to the landing gear.

Oct 05, 2023     Fuselage October 05, 2023 - (1.5 hours)       Category: Fuselage
Re-epoxy glued the parts that were separated/broken from the other day. Installed the seat and attached the cushions. Received the MATCO wheel and Brake assembly and completed the inventory. I realized that I needed to order an additional master cylinder.

Oct 03, 2023     Fuselage October 03, 2023 - (3.3 hours)       Category: Fuselage
Oops, I dropped the fuselage while moving it to its new location and broke a couple of the glued joints. Now, I have to cut into the freshly attached skin and make the repairs. I also did a test fit of the HS, VS and elevator.

Sep 28, 2023     Covering, September 28, 2023 - (3.8 hours) Category: Fuselage
Finished the and started working on the tailwheel. Had to remove the old tailwheel hardware and tried to figure out how attach the new leaf spring type tailwheel to the fuselage.

Sep 22, 2023     Seat, September 22, 2023 - (5.3 hours)       Category: Fuselage
I made and cut Seat cover patterns. I attached pattern piece to fabric and cut them out and test fitted them to the foam.

Sep 20, 2023     Fuselage, September 20, 2023 - (3.4 hours)       Category: Fuselage

Sep 18, 2023     Seat, September 18, 2023 - (3.6 hours)       Category: Fuselage
Fuse: I attached the aft spare connector to the aft cockpit bulkhead. Seat fabrication; purchased seat foam from Joann's Fabric store. Made a pattern for the seat, and labeled the pieces required on the foam. I used two different heated foam cutters to cut out the pieces.

Sep 17, 2023     Seat, September 17, 2023 - (3.1 hours) Category: Fuselage
Seat fabrication.

Sep 14, 2023     Fuselage, September 14, 2023 - (2.2 hours)       Category: Fuselage
Firewall and bonnet fitting. I made a new firewall and made adjustments to get a proper fit. the old firewall had too many wholes in it and I wanted a clear slate for when it comes time to mount the engine and put in lines through the firewall forward.

Sep 13, 2023     Fuselage September 13, 2023 - (1.2 hours)       Category: Fuselage

Attached henges to the seat and seatback. Fabricated landing gear bended tubes.

Sep 11, 2023     Fuselage, September 11, 2023 - (2.4 hours)       Category: Fuselage
I use already existing lag bolt holes in the floor to temporarily set up a tube bender to begin test bends for the fabrication of landing gear.

Sep 08, 2023     Fuselage, September 08, 2023 - (1.6 hours)       Category: Fuselage
Test attached one wing to confirm that the attach points and control cables are properly aligned.
