Located and installed left and right aileron pulleys with cable keepers (4 places). Installed flap control pulleys and cable keepers (2 places). Installed cover/closeout plates.


 
Jan 04, 2021     Aileron Cables - (1.5 hours)       Category: Controls
Made up aileron cables that run from control mixer to aft of door. Installed nico sleeve, thimble, clevis on 3/16th" wire rope, swaged nico sleeve in place. Routed cable to determine length, cut cable and installed nico sleeve, thimble with turnbuckle. Swaged. Two cable assemblies.

Fabricated cables. Clamped rudder and pedals in neutral position. Installed turnbuckles at pedals. Sized cables and swaged ends.


 
Mar 06, 2020     Stick Grip Install - (1 hour)       Category: Controls
Determine where the PTT wires should exit the sticks. Found some grommets for the routing wiring through sticks. Drilled sticks, routed wires, installed grip with tube diameter adapter, mounted PTT cap, fixing it to stick with rivet.

Added bends to the control sticks to jiggle and improve position of stick handle in relation to reach from seated position.
 
Feb 09, 2020     Elevator Push/Pull Rod Install with Control Mixer - (4 hours)       Category: Controls
Installed Control Mixer, Positioned control sticks and drilled for mounting. Formed bends into long elevator push/pull rod for alternate routing below floor. Installed push/pull rods to bell crank.
