Uninstalled all USB equipment and wiring
Rewired everything to serial
Installed new GPS
Installed new FDC
Tested all and installed a bunch of firmware updates

Jun 22, 2023     Tested EGT & CHT sensors for temp differences - (1 hour) Category: Avionics
Put all sensors in same hot water and checked for consistent temps ... ALL OK
 
Jun 22, 2023     Fixed EGT #2 connection - (4 hours) Category: Avionics
Had a "Wackelkontakt", a loose connection, at the solder joint for cylinder #2 EGT which also included cylinder #4 CGT probe
Re-soldered BOTH connections
Redid lots of zip ties

With JRs help, tested that both pitot and static ... seems leak free but found significant speed differences between Falken and AV-30
 
May 27, 2023     Moved GPS for better reception - (2 hours)       Category: Avionics
Taxi test showed that under glare shield I loose reception
Moved on top of glare shield by drilling hole and glue down with contact cement

Installed new special fiberglass antennas that won't need a metal ground for VHF, ELT and transponder. In picture see the ELT antenna, the transponder antenna is mounted on the left just outside picture and the VHF antenna is the luggage compartment
