Completed my box-section inspection by the MD-RA. No snags: elevator, HS, VS, rudder, flaps, ailerons, wings and fuselage. Received my S/S dataplate and paperwork.
Issues I asked about:
1, Nordlock washers on the brake caliper bolts- recommended drilled head bolts and safety wire, but a Cessna 340 he had just worked on has neither!
2. Lack of fuel tank drains. He would have preferred wing tank drains, but will accept the single drain in the header tank as acceptable. The design of the wing tanks have several low points (water traps) that cannot be drained, so the header tank is the solution.
