Technical Counselor Rick Stockton from Dixon, CA inspected our project today and found a few items that needed attention. Lee Teicheira and Bill Lawrence addressed those issues and made the necessary corrections. Item 1: A rear fuselage cross-member had a rivet missing. Found that the rivet hole was misdrilled and the hole was moved and a rivet was installed. Item 2: A bolt connecting the left hand longeron and and a rear crossmember was too long. Long bolt was replaced with the correct length. Item 3: A screw holding a clip for the elevator trim cable was loose. Screw was tightened. Item 4: A screw holding the canopy rear bow was not secure. The screw was too long and bent preventing the nut from tightening properly. The screw was removed, straightened, shortened, and replaced properly. Item 5: The right hand aileron control rod end was misaligned preventing the bearing from moving freely. The jam nut was loosened, the end was realigned and the jam nut re-tightened.
