Apr 11, 2024     Air Temperature Sensor - (.5 hour)       Category: Instrument Panel
We mounted the temperature sensor to the fuselage, which will be under the horizontal stabilizer.


 
Feb 22, 2024     Installed Throttle Cable - (4 hours)       Category: Instrument Panel
We had to enlarge the hole in the panel to fit the cable through. We then routed through the fitting in the firewall and attached it to the throttle body. We had to shorten the cable to fit. We spent time making sure the "throw" of the cable was the correct length. We confirmed that the cable was attached in the correct direction so in the case of a cable break the throttle goes to full power.

Brenden spent the day creating the mount and then mounting the Advanced Control Module. He also created the mount for the backup battery.

Brenden worked on installing the instrument panel all day. He mounted the throttle location panel, matched drilled all the holes. He also was laying out where to mount the remote instruments behind the panel.


 
Aug 24, 2023     Preliminary Work to Install Panel - (8 hours)       Category: Instrument Panel
Brenden found all the components for the instrument panel assembled by Advanced with the carbon fiber panel provided by Aerosport. Brenden convinced Aerosport to provide a CAD drawing of remote instrument placement. One of the owners of Aerosport had built a Rans S21. Brenden also built a tray that is behind the throttle quadrant. We will use this tray to also suspend the fire extinguisher from
